Where is AI headed and how will we be impacted?

First off, sorry for the delay in posting this blog. I have been a bit busy trying to develop a new mathematical system for my algorithmic art. It has been fun, experimenting with various parameters, different systems and seeing how they can generate different intricacies in the art form.

Having said that, I want to share some of my musings on AI, for it has been playing on my mind, just how much and how quickly AI has pervaded every aspect of our lives!

I am no expert in AI nor am I a tech visionary. But just as someone who has seen a bit of the world before AI and after AI, I can only imagine what the future holds for us. Let's talk about the impact of AI on education.

Education:

Will there be traditional schools, teachers and homeworks? Or will AI be at the forefront of leading customized, personalized education? For each one, according to individual interests, AI could teach everything from the basics to expert level concepts- all at practically no cost to the individual (we won't get into the environmental and energy costs). You want to know about art history, or learn about sports analysis, maybe aviation industry is what interests you or maybe economics and finance is what matters to you- AI could be your all in one teacher, who could teach, assign, grade, test and assess, any time of the day, any number of times at your convenience. Maybe schools will exist only upto high school so students can learn the foundations but higher education will be through AI?

What about practical/ laboratory based learnings? I do not see AI replacing that, but certainly enhancing that. I can imagine see AI simulating experiments and predicting outcomes. Biology students may even use AR glasses and AI assisted biological renderings to understand the working of our innards with AI explaining what happens if this organ malfunctions?

What are your thoughts? Would you like to be a part of such schooling? Is there even a choice? Do you find it exciting or scary? I look forward to having a discussion on this so I can learn more. Do share your thoughts.
